Black Friday: The Carter Brand
If I'm being honest, I don't remember where I first saw this brand or even when, but I'm glad I did. I found myself browsing through The Carter Brand's website and instantly dropping things into my virtual cart. They had a number of hats, hoodies, patches, shirts, and even bags. Needless to say, I put about $500 worth of product in my virtual cart. But because I work for an environmental non-profit, I'm often broke. Because I’m often broke, I put 75% of that shit back.
However, I decided to buy about three items. I purchased the canvas book bag, a shirt that reads "B L A C K E X E C E L L C N E", and two patches. I think the total was around $56 dollars after applying a 10% off promo code I'd scene on Instagram. So, I'd like to think that their pricing is fair and practical. It took about 5-6 days for my order to arrive.
When the package came, I was elated to find a personalize note inside the package with a couple pieces of candy attached. While, I know it's simple, the note and the candy made a huge difference in my experience. So, in my excitement, I went directly home to iron my new patches onto the canvas book bag that I'd purchased. Since then, I've gotten a number of complements on the way my bookbag is "a silent way to express my political stance."
Overall, I loved my experience with The Carter Brand and I've purchased more since then. So, I'd say this is going to be a regular online shopping experience for me. It also helps that they have frequent promotional codes. So, because I still fall for simple marketing tactics, I find myself rationalizing how spending a random $30 is okay simply because there was an extra 5% off my purchase.
Oh- oh—ooh, before I forget, for all of y'all that are planning Black Panther events, they've just started carrying Marvel's Black Panther apparel! They don't note whether or not they will be replenishing the apparel, so act fast.
